What are your thoughts this week?
#30 let's talk about what's running through our minds this week!

Yo, What's up! Joseph here
As I sit here sipping my cold brew coffee, I almost thought about just not sending a newsletter out today.. But what good would that do for me? Keeping myself accountable would be pointless if I can just as easily give up when I donât think I can do something. So.. Iâm taking these next 5 minutes to talk about my thoughts today and still try to bring some value to you all.
Thought of the Week đ
Letâs let that sink in just a bit.. how do you really narrow down the âthought of the week?â If youâre anything like me, you have a million thoughts a day and come back to them all week long! Anyone else..? Just me? oh okay.. cool.. but this can get frustrating at times because these thoughts turn into ideas that turn into actionable items that then sit there taking up space in my brain. So many ideas that I want to tackle and bring to fruition but time is the silent killer.
How do you deal with all of these thoughts?
Iâve moved over to Notion over a year ago and started to map out all of my thoughts and ideas and itâs crazy to look back at them! They vary from an idea called âTrashTalkâ where a bot sends you text reminders by talking â trashâ on days when your trash needs to go out to my latest project, ArchiNotion which sells digital products to help new and young designers create a portfolio and get their foot through the door. If youâre interested in seeing my âIdea Hatcherâ just let me know, Iâll gladly share my Notion template with you.
Youâre probably asking yourself, now Joseph.. where is this going?! I follow this guy on Youtube called Matt DâAvella, a minimalist, filmmaker, and creative who recently published a video anxiety. Along with the video he sends out a newsletter that breaks down his thoughts and brings back the conversation about his struggle with anxiety and what heâs learned to help cope. I want to share a portion of his newsletter with you all.
You will never feel like you have enough time.
Humans like to keep busy (it helps us avoid difficult truths). We subconsciously like to fill every moment overplanning for the things we want to do or distracting ourselves from the fact we havenât started yet.But if you were to step back and do an audit of your life, I bet youâd find the time youâre looking for hiding under behaviors like:
Idly getting sucked into Instagram, TikTok, or YouTubeÂ
Sleeping in until 11am on the weekends
Overcommitting to client projectsÂ
Watching 2 hours of TV every night
Watching tv after work never seemed like a big deal to me prior to having a daughter.. but now that I have to take her routine into account, tv sucks⊠not the shows I watch, those shows are great.. I mean, the act of watching tv! I get home by 6:30, eat dinner and itâs already 7:30, Elenaâs routine starts and ends around 8:45 if Iâm lucky and goes to bed.. but thatâs not realistic, itâs more like ending around 9:30. I think you get the idea, time flies! Stress is real! Anxiety is a problem we all face! but weâll get through it.. somehow we always do..
I hope you have a great weekend and get to relax and buy a new plant. You deserve it and letâs face it, plants are freaking awesome!
ALSO! I have a new Youtube video coming out today in a few hours so head over to my Youtube channel and give it a like or subscribe. Itâll mean the world to me!
